A dream realised

The Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat Story

Anne Hallard grew up as the third generation of her family to live in the Snowy Valleys area. As a young woman she moved to the big city to follow her career but she always knew in her heart that she wanted to return to the beautiful Batlow area.

In 2007, Anne purchased the 80 acre farm seeing the potential to share one of the most outstanding properties in Batlow with guests. A year later, Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat was established with the intention of creating a farm stay that allowed you all the wonderful benefits of being on a farm without any of the hard work!

Tragically, the Black Summer Bushfires of 2019/2020 saw the destruction of Brindabella Farm Stay with the buildings and much of the surrounding gardens being completely destroyed.

After 4 years of struggle and delays through COVID-19 lockdowns, lack of timber, spiralling costs of building materials, and lack of available builders, Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat was finally reopened on the 22nd December 2023.

The new and improved Farm Stay is Anne’s dream realised and she can’t wait for you to come and experience it yourself.
