We’ve compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions to save you time and make an informed decision to stay with us at Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat.

How do I find Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat by car?

We are located 4.3Km North of Batlow or 28Km South of Tumut.

Whether you are travelling South or North along the Hume Highway it is recommended to turn off at Gundagai and follow the Gocup Road to Tumut. Turn right at the intersection with the Snowy Mountains Highway and follow the signs to Batlow Road. Turn left here and the farm stay is approximately 20 km on the left-hand side.

When you arrive, drive through the double gates and follow the road towards the flagpoles where you’ll find the accommodation.

What parking is available?

Complimentary parking is available onsite near the accommodation.  Please park at the Southernmost end of the parking area and enter via the first glass door.  

How do I get to Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat without a car?

You have a couple of options to get to Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat without a car:

  1. Fly to Wagga Wagga then hire a car to drive approximately 1 hour.
  2. Take the train to Cootamundra followed by the bus to Batlow then if you give us advanced notice, we can arrange a pickup from the bus station to the retreat.

How do I access my room?

Each room is fitted with a secure electronic key code system.  You will be assigned a unique code for your reservation which will only work during your stay.

How can I get around the region if I don’t have a car?

Transport to and from the local walking/cycling trails, restaurants, and cellar door experiences is available on a request basis.

Can I host a party or get together?

Absolutely.  We welcome parties and celebrations however we do require a bond of $1000 prior to the event.  A Property Condition Report will be prepared and agreed upon by both the owner and party organiser before the event and then again after the event.  Provided the property is in the same condition at the end of the event, the bond will be refunded in full. 

What are check in and check out times?

Check in is from 2pm and check out is by 10 am.  You may wish to request an early check in or late check out and we will do our best to accommodate that subject to availability.

What is the cancellation or refund policy for Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat?

A full refund is applied to any cancellation initiated by the guest. It is preferable that as much notice be provided as possible. The owner reserves the right to initiate cancellation of a booking should there be reasonable grounds to do so, such as in the event of prior knowledge of an event that would impact the intended enjoyment of a guest. 

What animals do you have on the farm?

Brindabella Farm Stay is a working cattle farm. There are no other animals on the property other than local wildlife.

Can I bring my pets with me?

Due to potential biosecurity and safety hazards as well as the enjoyment of all guests, we are unable to allow pets to join you on your stay at Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat.

Can I bring my children with me?

Brindabella Farm Stay Retreat is not suitable for families and caters exclusively for adults.

Can I have a campfire on the farm?

We have a dedicated fire pit next to our gazebos which you are welcome to have a campfire at. We ask that you keep the fire within the fire pit area and ensure that you maintain fire safe practices.
